2022年3月8日（火）～11日（金）にオンラインで実施された第37回国連大学グローバル・セミナー「UNU Global Seminar: Implementing SDGs in the Anthropocene（UNUグローバル・セミナー：～人新世におけるSDGsの推進～）」に、本学の学生（人間科学部臨床心理学科3年次生 アルナト・ディダルさん［カザフスタン出身］）が参加しました。本学からは2年連続で参加しています。

＜グループ発表の内容＞

私たちのグループでは水について発表しました。水の大切さ、水に関する健康、水に関する教育についてグループディスカッションを行いました。その後、３つのグループに分け、以下のように生物多様性、水、教育は私たちの生活にどんな影響を与えるかをまとめました。

Biodiversity：

・Species Extinction

・Loss of Natural habitats

・Terrestrial and marine biodiversity

・Zoonosis

・Food Security (impact of rising temperature on pollinators, agro-biodiversity, agriculture productivity, achieving zero hunger, reducing poverty)

・Tourism (impact of CC on nature-based tourism)

・Good health and well being (nature derived medicines, therapy, diversity of wild fruit and foods, positive impact of urban biodiversity on well-being)

・Loss of ecosystem

・Timber overexploitation

・Deforestation

・ Fisheries

・Field trips

・SDGs in biodiversity conservation

・State the problem: hear from students for possible solution

Water:

・Access to clean drinking water #2 + Water borne disease →Significance of clean water

・Water related disasters (Flood, and sea level rise) #1

・Loss of wetland ecosystem #3 (peatlands)

・Loss of water dependent livelihood (fisheries, tourism, culture)

・Child/maternal health and well-being

・Ocean acidification

Education:

・Building sustainable educational infrastructures ( that can resist and function in extreme climatic events like cyclones, floods)

・Access to uninterrupted quality education

・Preparing education system to adapt with climate induced migration and its impact on access to quality education

・Ensuring gender quality and reducing child labor

・Agriculture and access to education

＜ディダルさんの感想＞

国連大学グローバル・セミナーには、様々な国から70名程の方々が参加しました。初めて参加した方も、何度も参加したことがある方もいました。セミナーは全て英語で行われ、多国籍の方々と自分の意見や知識を共有することができ、非常に貴重な体験となりました。セミナーで一番印象に残ったことは、食べ物と水がなくて、倒れそうになっている子供の様子です。私たちは、日本で食べ物も水もある中で生活し、それらを無限に使っているため、今後は、自分も周りの人にも食べ物と美しい水の大切さを伝えていきたいと思っています。

また、現在私の出身国であるカザフスタンでも、セミナーのテーマ「生物多様性、水、教育」を大切にしているため、自分の国の状況を知ることもできました。今回大学には非常に貴重な体験をさせていただき、心から感謝しています。
